Our Mission

The Great Exchange in Devens, MA facilitates the reuse of all types of idle operating supplies, classroom resources, creative materials, furniture and fixtures that are in new and like new condition with the added benefits of avoided disposal cost, community stewardship and environmental protection. The program helps divert an average of 50,000 pounds of valuable materials from the landfill each year.

This program makes the recovered items available to schools, libraries, municipal departments, nonprofits, businesses, and other organizations with significant discounts so they can invest more funds in the programs, services, and jobs that they provide to their communities.

Third Quarter Impact Report
We are so proud and grateful to be a recipient of funds from MassDEP’s Reduce, Reuse, Repair Micro-Grant Program! The funding is given to projects that provide innovative and impactful ways to curb waste and keep products in use through donation, rescue, reuse and repair.
Stay tuned for exciting news of how we use this award to increase The Great Exchange’s ability to drive the circular economy and prevent the waste of valuable materials.
